    This course provides a good background in\u00a0the application of science and IT in carrying out the office functions of a business. The important thing is to review the supporting activities to enable the manufacturing or service or the operational function of an economic unit. It is the application of scientific method in carrying out the supporting function of an economic unit.<\/p>

    The scientific method relies mainly on modelling. A model of the economic unit is built. Salient factors are established. Data of the factors are charted to obtain an output. Data relating to the key factors are gathered. These are processed. The output from the process determines how things will be done.<\/p> <\/div>\n\t\t \n

    GCSE English Language and Mathematics at Grade C or above (or equivalent).<\/p>

    English language requirements<\/strong><\/span><\/p>

    Non-native speakers of English will normally be required to have IELTS 4.5 or above.<\/p>

    Other suitable qualifications<\/strong><\/span><\/p>

    We accept a wide range of other qualifications from applicants. We welcome applications from mature students, students interested in direct entry to the second year.<\/p>

    Students are expected to study one of the following languages in their first or second year:<\/p>

    Teaching and learning<\/h3>

    Lectures and tutorial are available online and blocked week seminars at three locations in London, Malta and the Dominican Republic. You will need additional private study and participate in group activities or presentations.<\/p>

    Coursework and Assessment<\/h3>

    Assessment will include multiple choice tests, essays, presentation and projects. There is a final dissertation or project.<\/p>
